KAILASH PARBAT, LONAVALA, MAHARASHTRA
The existing Kailash Parbat hotel procured a plot admeasuring more than an acre connected on rear side of the existing hotel. The brief for the project was to plan a fun area for day visitors with water as an element and also leave some area for an outdoor banquet or party. The area was also required to house few shelters to accommodate indoor party area, occasional coffee shop, and indoor game areas. The design concept was formulated by way of creating a central water feature with rock outcrop overflowing water into the pond. All the structures mostly with no walls surrounded the waterbody. Two major structures without walls helped the visitor to perceive the entire expanse of the project. Year of completion: 2004
