RAMBHAU MHALGI PRABODHINI, UTTAN, MAHARASHTRA
Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini is a social and educational institute which focuses it’s activities on development of social issues and conducting training programmes for various sections of the society. The site is located in Thane district, 15 Km away from Mumbai. It admeasures about 15 acres and only 12 acres was being used in Phase I. There are about seven major buildings sitting at different levels and in different directions. The landscape development therefore is to connect all the structures to each other in an interesting way. The major achievement of the project was to restore degraded part of the land and create almost like a jungle effect on these degraded part. The project is also let out to private corporate offices for holding their conferences and training programmes. This is to revenue for the activities of the institute. The campus therefore was given a touch of resort without making the landscape turn into extravagant exercise.
